This series of paintings is titled "HEADS" because they are not intended to be typical portraits.

I drew from selected, anonymous imagery as a starting point as I was looking for a certain mood and style in my work.

 

I was not looking for a likeness or trying to make accurate paintings. It was more about freedom of expression, exploring the boundaries between drawing and painting and communicating thought provoking pieces of work for the viewer.

 

The titles came during the painting's creation.
