Artist's History
I was age 30 before I went to art college, BCT in 1997. That was Brighton College of Technology on the NDD (National Diploma in Design) basically a 2 year, intensive art foundation course. I then went on to Brighton University and graduated in 2002 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Illustration.
I was a carpenter previously to this. I am married with 2 (now grown up girls) and my wife and I live on the outskirts of Brighton where I work from a studio in the roof of our house that overlooks our garden.

I am a painter and prolific drawer of the human form. My studio work focuses on creating interpretations of my drawings, taken into larger drawings and paintings that explore and decode the marks and lines made during the initial process. My paintings hover between figuration and abstraction and I enjoy the freedom and personal interpretation that happens along the way.
